Michael Muzzy practices in the areas of real estate transactions, development, finance and general business law. He has represented buyers and sellers in single asset, portfolio and entity acquisitions and sales, and both borrowers and lenders in single asset and portfolio transactions. Mr. Muzzy is involved with various legal aspects of real estate finance, transactional real estate and land development, having represented developers, investors, private money lenders, hotels, mortgage funds and institutional lenders on all sides of real estate transactions. His current practice focuses primarily on real estate finance, joint ventures, operating aspects of business entities, acquisitions, dispositions and corporate and securities law. He also represents numerous financial institutions, owners and developers in the loan origination, entity structuring and closing process. Mr. Muzzy is experienced in both portfolio and conduit lending for various property types. Prior to joining Stein & Lubin, he practiced in the areas of real estate, taxation, trusts and estates. Mr. Muzzy graduated with a B.S. in Biology from the University of California, San Diego. He earned his M.B.A. from the Edward S. Ageno School of Business at Golden Gate University, with honors, and earned his law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2001. During law school Mr. Muzzy participated in the Honors Lawyering program and in the fall of 1999 he was a judicial extern for the Honorable Elizabeth Laporte of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. |
