Michael Kelly is Managing Partner of the Board Services Practice of CTPartners, a premier executive search firm dedicated to performance, quality and results. In addition to maintaining an active search practice, Mike leads a global team of professionals dedicated to assisting clients in strengthening governance. Known for insightful evaluations and fresh approaches to strategically structuring boards, Mike has collaborated closely with clients across industries at all stages of the business cycle. He has identified talent to fill newly created positions as well as vacancies due to resignations and retirements. Mike also has undertaken engagements involving multiple searches, with each directorship requiring specific expertise and compatible leadership styles. The founder of two well-respected retained search firms, Mike has more than 20 years of executive search experience. After entering the search profession with a Philadelphia-based regional firm, he established Michael Kelly Associates, Inc., an innovative retainer firm serving financial services, healthcare, and information technology clients. Later Mike co-founded The Directorship Search Group, a board and executive search firm. He was responsible for the financial services and healthcare practices and co-managed the corporate governance and board search practice. Early experience includes being with Meridian Bank Corporation’s Commercial Finance Group. Mike received his bachelor’s degree from The Catholic University of America and pursued graduate studies at The New York Institute of Finance. A sought-after governance expert, Mike has been quoted by leading global business media, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Fox News’ Cavuto Business Report, and the Financial Times. Mike serves as a guest speaker and moderator for industry and business conferences such as Brown University’s Economic Forum.
