Michael N. Scavuzzo joined Atlas in 1980 as Assistant Vice President of Corporate Training and in 1983, was named Vice President, Agency Services and Development. In 1999, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Sales for Atlas World Group, and in 2002 Scavuzzo became Senior Vice President of Agency Development.
In his current role, Scavuzzo is responsible for Atlas World Group's government and military business. He oversees Atlas' Agency Services, Agency Contracts and Agent Recruitment areas as well as Yellow Pages advertising. He also is responsible for the administration of Atlas' quality standards program the Atlas World-Class Commitment Program.
A native of Philadelphia, Penn., Scavuzzo graduated from LaSalle University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He is a member of the American Moving and Storage Association (AMSA), Massachusetts Movers, New Jersey Movers and the California Moving and Storage Association (CMSA). He also is a member of the Italian American Social Club.
Scavuzzo has been involved in the transportation industry since 1970. Prior to joining Atlas, he held management positions with another carrier and various industry agencies. |
