Background/Education
Mr. Jacob was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1947. He received his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1969 and his J.D. from Wayne State University School of Law in 1972.

Mr. Jacob has extensive experience in commercial contract and business tort litigation, insurance and construction related matters. He has represented partners, officers and directors in various types of fraud and commercial tort cases. In addition, he has represented real estate developers, automotive suppliers, distributors and manufacturer’s representatives in various contract and construction disputes, as well as insurance companies and insured parties in various contract and coverage disputes. Mr. Jacob is currently listed as one of Michigan's "Super Lawyers" in the area of business litigation.
Reported Cases
Mr. Jacob was co-counsel for plaintiff in the recent milestone case of Estes vs. Idea Engineering et al, 245 Mich App 328 (2001), en banc, 2002 Mich App LEXIS 304 where the Michigan Court of Appeals held a shareholder in a closely held corporation had a direct and not derivative statutory cause of action against the officers and directors for oppression of the shareholder rights.
