It is with great sadness that the lawyers and staff of McKee Nelson LLP mourn the loss of our partner, friend and colleague, Michael M. Gordon. A man of great integrity, intelligence, compassion and judgment, Mike was a prominent commercial litigator dedicated to defending the rights of his clients in complex product liability, employment and securities disputes. His body of legal work includes playing a leadership role for more than 30 years in the Agent Orange litigation and representing Exxon Mobil in the New York Harbor oil spill. He was recognized as a leading expert in the developing areas of vicarious liability and federal claims based on the alien torts statute. An integral member of the McKee Nelson family, Mike previously was a partner in King & Spalding and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. He was a true senior statesman in the legal community, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the honor of knowing him. |
