Dr. Michael Bristow was born in Iowa City, Iowa. Following several early moves, the majority of his childhood was spent in Sioux City, Iowa. After graduation from high school, he went on to college at the University of Iowa to earn his B.S. Degree in Zoology. Upon completion of his undergraduate education, Dr. Bristow attended the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. The four-year course of study was completed with the granting of a D.O. or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Dr. Bristow's clinical training includes a twelve-month rotating internship completed in Dayton, Ohio and three-year residency in Family Medicine completed at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Bristow joined the Alexandria Clinic, P.A. as a member of the Family Practice Department in August of 1991. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Minnesota Medical Association. Dr. Bristow is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. He has additional certification in Bone Densitometry and interest in the treatment of Osteoporosis. Additional interests include medical internet activities and preventive medicine. |
