Mike Molinini is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Airgas, Inc. and is a member of the Management Committee. Prior to assuming this position on January 14, 2005, he was senior vice president Hardgoods, with company-wide responsibility for directing sales and marketing, brand management, procurement, as well as managing distribution center logistics and supplier relationships for these welding and safety products representing sales of $1 billion. Mr. Molinini joined Airgas in April 1997 as group vice president of Airgas Direct Industrial and led the build out of the centralized infrastructure for purchasing, logistics and hardgoods brand management. He also led the development of Airgas’ very successful Radnor private label program. Prior to joining Airgas, Mr. Molinini served as vice president marketing at National Welders Supply Company, an Airgas joint venture, where he managed all gases and hardgoods sales and marketing programs, and all MRO supplier relationships. Mr. Molinini joined NWS after spending 19 years with the Linde Division of Union Carbide Corporation where he held a variety of operations, sales and business management positions, including president, Linde Gases of the Southeast. Mr. Molinini received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Seton Hall University in 1972. He has been married for 30 years and has four children.
