Michael L. Hartzmark, Ph.D., Principal, applies his broad experience from academia, economics and financial consulting, business operations and strategy, and government to complex commercial disputes and regulatory matters related to breach of contract, breach of confidentiality, intellectual property, investments, securities market efficiency, securities fraud, corporate valuation, employment, labor, anti-trust, and market structure. Dr. Hartzmark has held academic positions at the University of Chicago and the University of Michigan. He has also worked for the United States Treasury Department and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Dr. Hartzmark served for eleven years as CEO and Chairman of Cragar Industries, Inc., a publicly traded company competing in the automotive aftermarket (OTC: CRGR). He also served as Audit Committee Chairman and Interim Chief Financial Officer for Pacific Biometrics, Inc. (OTC: PBME), a publicly traded clinical laboratory and biotechnology company. Dr. Hartzmark is also a Series 7 Registered Representative and is affiliated with Oppenheimer & Co’s Professional Alliance Group. He has served on numerous corporate and financial advisory boards, invested in a variety of small businesses, written numerous business plans and is an NASD arbitrator. Dr. Hartzmark earned his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in economics at the University of Chicago. He holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Michigan. |
