Michael L. Fitzgerald is the chairman of the Global Securities Group and the Latin America Practice Group of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. He is located in the New York office and specializes in the areas of corporate and securities law. Mr. Fitzgerald has represented a wide range of international and domestic underwriter and issuer clients in debt and equity financing transactions and merger and acquisition activities. He has been especially active in Latin American financial markets. He was named as one of the world's best capital markets lawyers by Chambers Global and Chambers USA for 2008 and was listed in the International Who's Who of Capital Markets Lawyers and Business Lawyers for 2008, The Legal 500 US: Corporate and Finance for 2008 and the PLC Cross Border Handbook for 2008 as one of the world's best equity capital markets and debt capital markets lawyers.
Mr. Fitzgerald is a member of the American Bar Association Committee on Securities Laws. He has written articles and presented seminars on a variety of issues involving the international capital markets.
Mr. Fitzgerald received his Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Mr. Fitzgerald was admitted to the New York Bar in 1980. |
