Mike Buckler is the senior vice president of business development for Tekmark Global Solutions’ Telecom Services division. In this role, Mr. Buckler will lead the expansion of the company’s portfolio of telecom solutions and services.
A seasoned professional with more than 35 years of experience in the telecom industry and an IEEE Fellow, Mr. Buckler most recently held positions at Lucent/Alcatel as a Vice President in Intelligent Networks and Subscriber Data Management. Mr. Buckler is a well-respected expert in light wave communications, operations support systems, intelligent networks and all aspects of enterprise software development.
As an IEEE Fellow, Mr. Buckler actively promotes the advancement of the electrical, computer and software engineering profession, and helped drive numerous special purpose R&D grants to institutions of higher learning. He is a certified Accreditation Board of Engineering Technology (ABET) evaluator of U.S. engineering schools for accreditations in Engineering and Software, and former member of the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC). His service has been through his leadership to the IEEE, CEAA, and the EAC; his training of ABET program evaluators in the Criteria 2000; and advising, counseling, and serving on the Industrial Advisory Board in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech.
Buckler holds both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is an active member of IEEE and the Executive Industrial Advisory Board for Georgia Institute of Technology. |
