Michael J. Baker is a partner in the Cerritos office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. Mr. Baker is defined by his experience in representing public and private owners, design professionals and contractors in business and contractual matters, as well as disputes before mediators, arbitration panels, and state and federal courts involving construction projects collectively valued in excess of $15 billion. This representation has included contract negotiations, bid document preparation, contract performance disputes, professional liability, due diligence investigations, monitoring counsel, surety bond claims, and the full range of insurance issues involving public and private construction projects, engineering systems and specialized facilities. Mr. Baker is a member of the State Bar of California (1985) and the State Bar of Illinois (1984), the American Bar Association of Construction Industry Forum, the Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego County Bar Associations, and the State Bar Section of Real Property and Sub-Section of Construction Law. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, as well as U.S. District Courts, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, and California state trial and appellate courts. |
