Mr. Wilder received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Kentucky in 1975 and Juris Doctorate from University of Kentucky College of Law in 1978. He joined Ashland Petroleum Company as a staff attorney in Russell, Kentucky, in August 1978. In 1984 he was promoted to senior attorney.
In 1986 he transferred to Valvoline Oil Company in Lexington, Kentucky, and in 1988 he was named vice president and general counsel for SuperAmerica Group, Inc., Lexington. In 1995 he served as regional vice president for SuperAmerica's Northwest Region in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At various times, his responsibilities included real estate, design and construction, environmental, health and safety and marketing. In 1996 he was appointed to lead a reengineering effort for SuperAmerica's store operations. As vice president and general counsel, he actively participated in the Speedway SuperAmerica transition team until his appointment to his current position in November 1997.
Mr. Wilder attended the Ashland Oil, Inc. Executive Development Program at Indiana University in 1990 and the Program for Management Development at Harvard University in 1995. Mr. Wilder has served as secretary-treasurer and president of The Findlay/Hancock County Bar Association, and is currently vice chairman of the Owens Community College Foundation Board of Directors.
He and his wife have a son and a daughter. |
