Mike Van Handel has overall responsibility for worldwide finance and accounting functions, including corporate finance, internal/external financial reporting, accounting controls and income taxes. He also manages investor relations. Van Handel joined Manpower in 1989 as Director of Internal Audit, and by 1993 was named Vice President of International Accounting. In 1995 Van Handel became Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer, and in 1998 became Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In 2002, Van Handel was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Manpower, Van Handel served as Audit Manager at Arthur Andersen & Co. where he worked with a number of large public multinational companies, including Manpower. Van Handel graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Accounting from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He also holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin. Van Handel is a member of the Board of Directors of the Milwaukee Public Museum and serving as Chairman of the Audit Committee. In addition, Van Handel is on the Board of Harris Bank, their Audit Committee and Risk Oversight Committee. |
