J. Michael Pocock is the Senior Vice President and General Manager for Linksys, a division of Cisco Systems, Inc. Pocock has been with the company since May 2006 and oversees all worldwide functions including operations, sales, marketing, human resources, training, customer advocacy and all product development and engineering. Pocock focuses his efforts on growing the Linksys business in the consumer, small business and service provider markets, while continuing to expand the company globally. Pocock most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Polaroid Corporation, a world leader in consumer electronics, instant camera and imaging products. Pocock joined Polaroid in 2003 and during his tenure, Polaroid became the world’s top seller of portable DVD players and entered MP3 handheld and plasma TV markets. Prior to taking the position at Polaroid, Pocock was Vice President/General Manager of the personal computer business at Compaq Computer Corporation. In addition, Pocock served in Sr. Management positions at General Electric, Epson and Xerox Corporation. Pocock reports to Charles Giancarlo, Cisco’s SVP, Chief Development Officer and President of Linksys. Pocock serves on the board of directors of Stratus Computer Corporation as well as Wyse Computer. In 2005, Consumer Goods Technology Magazine named Pocock as one of the 25 most influential executives in consumer products.
