Litigation
Michael J. McNamara is a partner in Seward & Kissel's Litigation group. Mr. McNamara has practiced law since 1983. He joined Seward & Kissel in 1988, and has been a partner since 1993.
Mr. McNamara provides litigation services in a variety of matters, including employment discrimination cases, securities litigation, partnership disputes and civil RICO and fraud claims. He regularly advises clients on employment law matters, including sexual harassment investigations, restrictive covenants, reductions in force and other workplace issues. Mr. McNamara has conducted internal investigations involving allegations of employee fraud or misconduct and violations of the federal securities laws.
Mr. McNamara received an A.B. degree from Columbia College in 1980, and a J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law in 1983. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers' Association, the Federal Bar Council and the American Inn of Court. Mr. McNamara is the Chair of the Federal Courts Committee of the New York County Lawyers' Association.
