Mike McCaslin is a principal in Somerset’s Health Care Team. Areas of expertise include development of health care delivery systems and multi-physician specialty organizations, ambulatory surgery centers, negotiation of hospital relationships, joint venture and merger analysis, strategic planning, managed care contract analysis and negotiation, income distribution methodology design and change management and buy/sell and employment agreements. He provides services for health care clients in numerous states across the country. The Indianapolis Business Journal has featured Mike in their Who’s Who in Health Care section, and he has also been included in their 40 Under Forty listing. Mike speaks on health care, accounting and practice management issues to physicians, hospitals and other medical organizations. He is a faculty member of The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ educational programs. During 1997, 1998, 2000, and 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, Mike was a key speaker for their practice management educational series for physicians. Mike is a faculty member of BONES Society and has been presenting to their members on practice management issues since 2001. Mike is frequently quoted in local, regional and national health care publications. He was also on the faculty for Butler University’s Mini MBA for Physicians program and taught the business planning and strategic planning course. |
