Mike Erickson's practice is concentrated on corporate and securities law. In addition to general business representation of numerous established and emerging Pacific Northwest companies, Mike has represented clients in a variety of public and private financings, mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures.
Experience:
Mergers and Acquisitions: Mike has an active mergers and acquisitions practice, representing both buyers and sellers of businesses. Transactions on which he has provided legal counsel have ranged in size from less than $1 million to over $1 billion, and have involved both private and publicly held companies.
Financings: Mike has been retained in dozens of public and private securities offerings. He has represented companies, investment banks, venture capital firms and other institutional and individual investors in a variety of equity and debt financings.
Compliance: Mike provides general business and securities law advice to both public and private companies. He regularly advises management and boards of directors on a variety of issues, including corporate governance matters and 1934 Act and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Other: In addition to his other transactional work, Mike has represented companies in a variety of corporate spin-offs, buy-outs and recapitalizations. He also works with companies to establish joint ventures, partnerships, strategic alliances and licensing arrangements.
Mike was one of the founders of Summit Law Group in 1997 and served as its CEO from 2000 through 2004. Before helping start Summit, he was a partner at Bogle & Gates and Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe. He has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America, as a Super Lawyer by Washington Law & Politics, as one of Seattle’s Best Lawyers by Seattle Metropolitan Magazine and in various Who’s Who publications. Mike is a frequent speaker on corporate and securities law topics.
