J. Michael Barber is Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at HomeBanc Corp. Barber has a wealth of knowledge in public company accounting and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations gained through years of experience working with public companies and consulting firms. Prior to accepting this position with HomeBanc, Barber served as senior vice president / manager of accounting policy and reporting with Union Planters Corp., a Memphis, Tenn.-based financial services holding company. While there, his duties included preparing and filing all periodic reports with the SEC and managing and updating the firm’s accounting policies. He held that position since 2001. Prior to joining Union Planters, he worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he was a senior manager in that organization’s banking practice. |
