Michael H. Michalak, senior vice president, directs Corporate Planning, Development and Risk Management for Comerica. Michalak serves on the Management Policy Committee and Management Council, and is chairman of the Corporation's Enterprise Wide Risk Management Committee.
Mr. Michalak is responsible for the management of the Corporation's aggregated pool of risk. Mr. Michalak also has responsibility for the Corporation's strategic planning process as well as all merger and acquisition activity. He is also responsible for the management and oversight of the Corporation's equity investment portfolio.
Mr. Michalak joined Comerica in 1988 in the Asset Liability Management area and was named Treasurer of the Corporation in 1996. He assumed responsibility of his present department in 1997.
Mr. Michalak holds a Bachelor of Science degree and an MBA from Wayne State University. He has also served as adjunct professor for the graduate school at Walsh College.
Among his business affiliations, Mr. Michalak serves on the Board of the Financial Institutions Risk Reserve Retention Group and the Citizens Research Council of Michigan. He is also an advisory member of the Bank Administration Institute's Retail Financial Services Committee. |
