Mr. Jordan recently joined Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS), a leading global computer and information services company based in Plano, Texas, as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Jordan is Chairman of the National Foreign Trade Council, a trustee of the Brookings Institute, a member and former Chairman of the U.S.-Japan Business Council, Chairman of The College Fund/UNCF, and a member of The Business Council. He also serves on the Boards of Aetna Inc., i2Technologies, Inc., ScreamingMedia Inc., WPP Group plc and several smaller, privately held companies. Mr. Jordan retired as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CBS Corporation (formerly Westinghouse Electric Corporation) on December 31, 1998 after having led one of the most comprehensive transformations of a major U.S. corporation. Before joining Westinghouse, Mr. Jordan was a partner with Clayton, Dubilier and Rice, a private investment firm based in New York City. Prior to that he spent 18 years with PepsiCo, his last position as Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo International. From 1964 to 1974, he was a consultant and principal with McKinsey & Company. Prior to that he served with the U.S. Navy on the staff of Admiral Hyman Rickover. A graduate from Yale University in 1957, Mr. Jordan received a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University in 1959. |
