Michael H. Du Boff concentrates in commercial and securities litigation, arbitration and transactional matters. He has extensive litigation experience in both State and Federal Courts and had handled several hundred arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association, Inc., National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. and New York Stock Exchange, Inc. He has also represented banks, broker/dealers, registered representatives, factors, printers, sales representatives and companies involved in the textile and apparel industries in a wide variety of complex transactions. Mr. Du Boff received a B.B.A. Degree in Accounting from Pace University (1967) and a J.D. Degree from Brooklyn Law School (1970), and he is admitted to practice in the State of New York and before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and various specialized Federal Courts. He has served as the President of the Lawyers Association of the Textile and Apparel Industry; General Counsel to the American Polyolefin Association and General Counsel and Trustee to Soundview Academy. Mr. Du Boff has also served on the Arbitration, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Uniform Laws Committees of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York; the Commercial Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association; the Commercial Law Division of the American Bar Association; and the Compliance and Legal Division of the Securities Industry Association. He has received the Service Appreciation Award from the American Arbitration Association and serves on the Panel of Arbitrators of the National Association of Securities Dealers Dispute Resolution and New York Stock Exchange, Inc. Until 1973, he was a Senior Trial Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the District Attorney of Bronx County. |
