Michael Smith joined Omni Hotels in 1996 and has served as General Counsel since 1998. Smith manages all legal matters, including the planning, structuring and negotiation of acquisitions and joint ventures. He also coordinates the company's financial and investment transactions.
Smith joined Omni Hotels after practicing real estate and corporate law for five years with a commercial law firm in Corpus Christi, Texas. He also is a Certified Public Accountant and was an auditor for Ernst & Young for three years before attending law school.
Smith attended The University of Texas and received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting with honors. He received his JD with honors from the University of Texas School of Law. |
