Michael F. Tigue concentrates his practice on all aspects of land development including, in particular, planning and zoning, complex real property transactions, eminent domain proceedings, environmental and real property litigation and administrative agency representation before state and local agencies. Mr. Tigue frequently appears before the Louisville Metro Planning Commission, Boards of Zoning Adjustment and city and neighborhood councils for various public hearings and town hall meetings to negotiate and win approvals of zone change, conditional use permit, variance and related land use applications. While Mr. Tigue’s primary focus concerns land development matters, his practice involves extensive commercial litigation. Mr. Tigue’s practice includes several high profile cases generating significant media and public interest. Some notable examples include Louisville ‘landmark’ Old Bus Parsons River Creek Inn, Ferndale Gardens, LLC multifamily condominiums and Beech Bend Raceway Park, Inc., Bowling Green, Kentucky’s top tourist attraction. Mr. Tigue frequently lectures on land development matters before both professional and business communities. Mr. Tigue has also authored several articles regarding land use use and real property law for general and industry specific publications.Mr. Tigue is an active member of the Land Development Committee of the Home Builders Association of Louisville, the Louisville Chapter of CCIM and the Kentucky Chapter of the American Planning Association.
