Michael F. Powell Ph.D. has served as a member of our Board of Directors since 2001. He has been a Managing Director of Sofinnova Ventures a venture capital firm since 1997. Dr. Powell was Group Leader of Drug Delivery at Genentech from 1990 to 1997. From 1987 to 1990 he was the Director of Product Development for Cytel a biotechnology firm. He was recently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Kansas and an editorial Board Member of several pharmaceutical journals. Dr. Powell also serves on the Board of Directors of Corgentech and a number of private companies. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto and completed his post-doctorate work at the University of California. |
