Mike is a partner in the real estate department and a member of the real estate development and financing practice groups and the real estate mixed use/multi use section. He focuses his practice on the acquisition, development, and disposition of retail and office projects; the acquisition and development of residential subdivisions; and the incorporation and documentation of planned communities. In addition, he handles zoning and land use matters before local governmental boards. Mike taught English at St. Mark's School of Texas in Dallas, Texas, from 1991-1995.

Represented owner/developer in $100 million permanent loan and entity restructuring to finance an office and warehouse business park in Research Triangle Park, N.C.
Represented developer in a joint venture of an office and hotel park with a national life insurance company.
Drafted master covenants and sub-declarations for 1000-acre mixed-use project combining retail, office, and residential uses.
Represented owner/developer regarding real estate matters related to the stock sale of a homebuilding concern in Raleigh, N.C.
Represented owner in connection with the sale of multiple regional shopping centers and an office complex.
Represented developers in large tract acquisitions and development of single family and townhome units including incorporation of homeowners' associations and preparation of restrictive covenants.
