Mr. Johnston is President and Chief Operating Officer of Visteon Corporation, a supplier of automotive components and systems. He has 30 years of experience in the automotive supplier and aerospace industries, with extensive expertise in manufacturing, product development, sales and customer relations.
Prior to joining Visteon in 2000, Mr. Johnston held several senior management positions with Johnson Controls, Inc., including President of e-Business, President of North America/Asia Pacific for the Automotive Systems Group, President of Americas Automotive Group, Vice President and General Manager of ASG Interior Systems Business, Vice President and General Manager of the Battery Group and Vice President and General Manager of SLI Battery Division. Before that, he held various managerial positions at Microdot, a subsidiary of Northwest Industries.
Mr. Johnston has been a Director of Flowserve Corporation and one of its predecessor companies since 1996. He also serves as a Director of Visteon. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from the University of Massachusetts and an M.B.A. from Michigan State University. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the University of Massachusetts College of Engineering.
