Mike has more than 34 years of experience in financial services with expertise in risk/credit management, field operations and international management. He has outstanding team building skills, with an ability to communicate effectively both up and down an organization. Professional Experience As a long-time business professional serving Ford Motor Credit Company, Mike has comprehensive experience in operations, project management, financial/economic analysis and portfolio management. While serving as Director of Global Process Management in Dearborn, he was responsible for the development, implementation and administration of major processes including credit decisions, receivables systems and outside vendors. He managed more than 125 employees in three locations and budget responsibilities of $110 million. During that time he reduced budgets by 9%, eliminated $20 million in systems costs and led a team in the development of a new receivables system that will save the company more than $10 million. As Director of Global Commercial Risk Management he was responsible for the North American and International Credit Committees managing a $40 billion global commercial portfolio. His accomplishments included the development/launch of a new commercial credit policy manual, implementation of a new risk rating system, and work with investment banks to design a product that would collateralize a $5 billion mortgage loan portfolio. Mike spent three years as Chairman/CEO of Ford Credit India. He was responsible for all activities of this joint venture and each year he exceeded profit objectives. During this time he passed a rigorous corporate financial and operations audit, tripled the number of funding sources, resolved a complex infrastructure problem and managed the extinction of a vehicle brand with no loss in asset valuations. |
