Michael E. Volpe, Ph.D., opened the Philadelphia office of DHR International in 1998. He joined DHR after a 17-year career as a Human Resources professional and independent consultant. His search clients include companies both large and small in many industries: pharmaceuticals, healthcare, consumer products, finance, electronics, transportation, manufacturing, insurance, marketing research, food services, telecommunications, software, entertainment and construction. Prior to joining DHR, Mr. Volpe had been a consultant specializing in performance management and succession planning processes, executive development, and productivity improvement. Mr. Volpe began his professional career as a Professor of Speech Communication at the University of Virginia and The Pennsylvania State University. Active in his community, he is a past President of the Logan Square Neighborhood Association, and a member of a Branch Board of the Settlement Music School and of the Athenaeum of Philadelphia.
