Michael E. Volpe, Ph.D., opened the Philadelphia office of DHR International in 1998. He joined DHR after a 17-year career as a Human Resources professional and independent consultant. His search clients include companies both large and small in many industries: pharmaceuticals, healthcare, consumer products, finance, electronics, transportation, manufacturing, insurance, marketing research, food services, telecommunications, software, entertainment and construction. Prior to joining DHR, Mr. Volpe had been a consultant specializing in performance management and succession planning processes, executive development, and productivity improvement. He held management positions at Medtronic, Citibank and Chemical Bank, and provided consulting services to clients, including many of the world’s foremost companies and organizations: Deutsche Bank North America/Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, Merck, Warner Lambert, Sterling Winthrop, Colgate-Palmolive, Supervalu, Baxter International, Citibank, American Express, Bankers Trust, AT&T, Morgan Stanley, NatWest Markets, Lehman Brothers, Pepsi Cola USA, Philip Morris, Fiduciary Trust International, Jostens, American Cyanamid, KPMG Peat Marwick, Saatchi & Saatchi, American International Group, Continental Insurance, Estee Lauder, Drexel Burnham Lambert, Gannett Outdoor, The New York Daily News, The Travelers, McKinsey & Co., Merrill Lynch, Security Pacific, American Reinsurance, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Greyhound Eastern Lines, Martin Marietta, New York Medical College and the New York State Democratic Committee, among others. Mr. Volpe began his professional career as a Professor of Speech Communication at the University of Virginia and The Pennsylvania State University. Active in his community, he is a past President of the Logan Square Neighborhood Association, and a member of a Branch Board of the Settlement Music School and of the Athenaeum of Philadelphia. |
