Michael Roach joined CGI in 1998. He became president and chief operating officer in 2002 growing the company from CDN$2.1 billion to CDN$3.6 billion in annual revenues. In 2006 he was appointed president and chief executive officer responsible for overseeing the company's worldwide operations as well as managing all global corporate functions including finance technology corporate services marketing and business engineering. Upon joining CGI in July 1998 Michael Roach assumed the role of executive vice-president and general manager telecommunications information systems and services after a 25-year career at Bell Canada. He had most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Bell Sygma Inc. a Bell Canada subsidiary formed to provide services to Canada's full-service telecommunications companies. Prior to this he held a variety of leadership positions with Bell Canada. Mr. Roach sits on the board of directors of the Conference Board of Canada Innovapost and the Mount Pleasant Group and is a member of Laurentian University's President's Council. |
