Michael E. Palmer, Vice President - Commercial Operations, joined The Empire District Electric Company in June 1986 as a Customer Service Consultant. He was named District Manager for the Aurora area in 1994 and Director of Operations in Branson in March 1997. In February 2001, he was named General Manager - Commercial Operations and in April 2001 he was elected Vice President - Commercial Operations.
A native of Pierce City, Missouri, Palmer graduated from Pittsburg State University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.
Mr. Palmer is an active participant in the community and currently serves on the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Joplin Chamber Public Policy Committee, and the Environmental Task Force of Jasper and Newton Counties. He is a member of the Rotary Club. |
