Michael D. Yuenger is vice president of finance for Con-way Freight Inc. Con-way Inc. is a $4.7 billion transportation and logistics company providing high-performance, day-definite less-than-truckload (LTL) and full truckload and intermodal freight transportation, as well as logistics, warehousing and supply chain management services, and trailer manufacturing.
Named to his current position in 2007, Yuenger is responsible for overall financial reporting, planning, forecasting and analysis, capital expenditure review and planning, asset management, and administrative services for Con-way Freight. He is also responsible for Con-way Freight’s administrative functions of cash applications and invoicing.
An executive with more than 20 years of experience in the transportation industry, Yuenger joined Con-way Transportation Services, Inc. (CTS) in 1991 as controller of Con-way Central Express (CCX). Before joining Con-way, he served as controller and treasurer for Gross Common Carrier, Inc. a regional (LTL) carrier based in Wisconsin. Previously, he was an audit and tax supervisor for Wipfli, Ullrich & Bertelson, a large regional CPA firm based in Central and Northern Wisconsin.
Yuenger earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater.
He is a CPA and a member of several professional organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Financial Executives International and the Council for Division Leaders Financial Executives.
