Mike serves as chair of the firm’s Health Care group. He advises clients on healthcare mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and innovative affiliations. He also concentrates on corporate and tax law. Mike works with a wide range of healthcare clients and counsels them in connection with fraud and abuse, regulatory compliance and governance matters. In addition, he represents a variety of other charitable and nonprofit organizations. Mike also counsels both publicly-traded and closely-held companies on joint ventures, strategic alliances and other complex financing and operational transactions. Mike is a member of the American Bar Association’s Health Law, Business Law, Tax and Natural Resources Sections. He is an active member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Healthcare Financial Management Association and Ohio State and Cleveland Bar Associations, as well as former chair of the CBA’s Health Law Section. Mike is a frequent speaker on a variety of health law and corporate governance subjects. Mike began his tenure with Calfee in 1977 and became a partner in 1984. |
