Mike Locascio's distinguished career in information technology spans more then three decades and represents significant achievements in quality best practices, IT process improvement, software engineering, and consulting.
Since 1989, when Mr. Locascio began ISS, he has directed numerous global software development projects and collaborated with some of the most prestigious corporations in the world, including GE, IBM, McDonald's, Kraft Foods, Motorola, and Zurich Insurance.
In addition to his corporate accomplishments leading a growing company, Mr. Locascio's passionate involvement with the Public Sector (Federal, State, and Local Public Health Agencies) has enabled these organizations to make significant progress in bridging the gap between their business goals and IT capabilities. His efforts for the Homeland Security Bioterrorism NEDSS (National Electronic Disease Surveillance System) have led to dramatic advances in the ability of healthcare providers to diagnose obscure infectious disease outbreaks.
Mr. Locascio was part of the original team that created the renowned Six-Sigma (World-Class Quality) Program at Motorola and was influential in Motorola being awarded the prestigious and first-ever Malcolm Baldridge Award. Mr. Locascio is an industry speaker on bioterrorism and protection strategies. He regularly presents to State and City Public Health Departments on their PHIN initiatives and related strategies. |
