Michael D. Huitink is shareholder in the firm's Litigation Practice Group. Michael was a member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group from 1999 to 2001 and practiced as a member of the Litigation Practice Group at Miller, Johnson, Snell & Cummiskey, P.L.C. in Grand Rapids, Michigan prior to rejoining the Firm in 2003. Michael received his Bachelor of Science degree from Central College of Iowa, summa cum laude, in 1996. He was awarded his law degree, cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1999. Michael specializes in the areas of litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He has been involved in a wide array of commercial litigation and arbitration matters across the country, including disputes regarding contracts, non-competition agreements and other trade secret, unfair competition and employment matters; real estate and construction issues; civil rights claims; products liability; computer software licensing agreements; will and trusts disputes; the purchase and sale of securities; corporate governance and shareholders' rights. Michael is a member of the Wisconsin, Michigan, Milwaukee, and Seventh Circuit Bar Associations, and is admitted to practice before of the United States Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
