Michael C. Arnold is executive vice president and president of the Bearings and Power Transmission Group at The Timken Company. He also is an officer of the company.
As president of the Bearings and Power Transmission Group Arnold provides leadership for the largest business group within the company. The Bearings and Power Transmission Group consists of four market-focused businesses: Mobile Industries Process Industries Distribution and Services and Aerospace and Defense. Arnold is responsible for the Group’s operational and financial performance as well as accelerating business growth in targeted markets. Arnold was named to his current position in 2007.
He previously served as president of the company’s former Industrial Group a position he held since 1999. Under his leadership the Group significantly increased revenues and completed several acquisitions that expanded Timken’s capabilities for friction management and power transmission solutions in major industrial segments. Arnold also has been responsible for driving Timken’s growth in Asia and other emerging markets. He is a member of the company’s executive council.
Arnold also has served as vice president and director of bearing business process advancement director of manufacturing and technology in Europe Africa and West Asia and general manager of the company’s Asheboro plant in Randleman N.C. He joined Timken in 1979 as a sales engineer in Cleveland Ohio. Early in his career he was an account manager of original equipment bearings in Detroit and manager of international market development.
Arnold serves as chairman of Endorsia.com International AB. He is a member of the University of Akron’s Engineering Advisory Council and the College of Business Advancement Council. He is a former chairman of CoLinx LLC. |
