Michael C. Zogby is an associate in the firm's Commercial Litigation Practice Group who concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation.
Mike's litigation experience includes representing pharmaceutical companies in products liability, antitrust, Robinson-Patman Act, and patent infringement actions before state and federal courts and in mass tort and multi-district litigations, defending law and accounting firms in professional liability actions, defending hospitals and health care organizations in business tort and ERISA challenges and before administrative agencies, and representing a variety of other corporate entities in commercial, employment, insurance coverage, and real estate matters.
Mike joined the firm following a clerkship with the Honorable James D. Clyne, Presiding Judge, Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division, General Equity Part, in Ocean County, during which he focused on real estate, construction, land use disputes, injunctions, commercial foreclosures, covenants not to compete, and will contests.
During law school, Mike was editor-in-chief of the William and Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review, and received the Rachel Carson Graduation Award for Excellence in Environmental Law, Dean's Award for Commendable Service to the Law School, and Legal Skills Scholar Graduation Award. He won an award in the Virginia Corporate Counsel Writing Competition for his entry entitled, "Gonna Change My Way of Thinking: Voluntary Disclosure Lessons for Corporate Counsel in the Wake of the SEC's Seaboard 21(a) Report," and he completed a legal internship at the Pennsylvania Governor's Office of General Counsel in the Departments of Labor and Industry and Environmental Protection. While working at The Commonwealth Foundation for Public Policy Alternatives, Mike drafted and published policy analyses and editorials on a variety of economic issues. At Saint Joseph's, Mike was the recipient of the John Trainer Award for Political Science and Community Service, in addition to being elected to several honor societies.
In 2004, Mike co-authored with partner Melissa L. Klipp, an article entitled, "Caveat Venditor: Using a Competitor Brand to Drive Traffic to Your Site," which appeared in the New Jersey Lawyer.
Mike was appointed to the New Jersey State Bar Association's Special Committee on Equity Jurisprudence. He also volunteers his time to alumni chapters, state and federal bar associations, and various civic, religious and charitable organizations. He is a resident of Maplewood, New Jersey. |
