Michael Woodruff is a partner in the firm's Real Estate Practice Group. Michael has significant experience with a wide variety of real estate matters, including transactional work, land use and development approvals.
Michael represents a broad spectrum of clients in the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate, ranging from large, sophisticated real estate investment funds to investors and companies acquiring or selling property for the operation of their businesses. Michael has significant experience in all matters related to the acquisition of real estate, including financing, like-kind exchanges and environmental issues. Michael is also well-versed in New Jersey's complicated and constantly changing realty transfer tax law. Michael has experience with commercial condominium regimes, as well.
Michael routinely represents landlords and tenants in all aspects of lease transactions. He has experience in office, warehouse, retail and ground lease transactions, as well as build-to-suit leases. He represents landlords and tenants in connection with ancillary lease-related matters, including leasehold financing, subordination transactions and lien waiver issues.
Michael is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the New Jersey and New York State Bar Associations. Michael is also a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the American Bar Association. |
