Professional Experience
Prior to joining Huron Michael was a Manager of Cisco's Legal Business Services group responsible for formulation and implemenation of the technology initiatives and managing operational support. Previously he provided legal technology and operational consulting to Fortune 500 corporations and leading law firms as a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers and a Program Manager at SRA International.

Strategic Planning
Developed strategic operational and technology plans for top law firms and law departments in a variety of industries including insurance high technology telecommunication and healthcare. One such project was the development of a strategic technology migration plan for a large multi-national law firm. The focus was on improved functionality for users while reducing support costs for the firm.
Led numerous benchmarking studies of operational efficiency and technology usage for both law firms and law departments.
On-Line Document Acceptance/Electronic Signature
Led the conception custom development and implementation of an online document acceptance tool for internal and external customer signatures for over 5 million documents per year. Document types ranged from complex sales contracts to non-disclosure agreements to new hire offer letters. Significantly shortened the cycle time and human effort on over 50 different business processes with savings of over $15M per year.
Contract Management
Led the design and implementation of a custom developed contract management system. The system was designed not only to provide process improvement to the law department and those individuals negotiating contracts but also to fit into the larger business processes that the contracts were documenting. To that end the contract management system was integrated with the company's ERP system to automate the sales process as well as other non-sales related systems.
Document Management
Managed the design development and installation of over 10 major document management systems for large law firms and corporations. His most recent document management project was the implementation of a leading system for a large law department and integration of the document management system with over 5 major operational systems in the company.
Electronic Billing and Outside Counsel Management
Led the evaluation of e-billing vendors for a large Legal department. Provided product direction advice to vendor to yield savings on process improvement and aid in outside counsel cost containment for client.
