Mike Smith is President and COO of Kane Realty Corporation, having joined the company in 2001. Mike's professional experience includes working in the Political Affairs Office of The White House, participating in Citicorp Asia’s China Fund in Hong Kong, serving as vice president Banc of America Securities’ capital markets group and the position of managing director at PNC Capital Markets. With a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University, Mike also holds a masters degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. He was named one of the Triangle Business Journal's Forty Under Forty for 2004. In addition, Mike is a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO), The Conference Table (Wake County Visitor’s Industry Advocacy Group), serves on the Board of Directors of Oak Ranch and is Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. David’s School. He also serves on the Wake County Economic Development Department Board and is a former member of Wake Forest University Alumni Council’s Executive Committee. Active memberships include The International Center of Shopping Centers, Urban Land Institute and National Association of Industrial and Office Parks. |
