Michael Simon is the former Chairman and Co-CEO of ISE Corporation until mid 2005. He has served as ISE chairman since the company’s formation in 1994, overseeing all financial and administrative matters, as well as contributing systems engineering support.
Previously he was CEO of International Space Enterprises and worked for eleven years at General Dynamics' Space Systems Division in a series of management positions. Among other things his responsibilities involved managing numerous studios relating to lunar and Mars exploration and managing NASA-funded contracts to develop advanced concepts for the Space Station, Space Shuttle, and future space transportation systems. From 1982 to 1987, Mr. Simon was Business Planning Administrator, responsible for strategic planning for all of GD’s space programs and a key contributor to the formation of GD’ s Commercial Atlas Program. From 1982 to 1986 he was a senior engineer in charge of economic analyses and trade studies on GD’s Orbital Transfer Vehicle and Space Station Program. Earlier in his career he worked at NASA Headquarters, where he helped develop Space Shuttle pricing policies for commercial customers and performed budget analyses used in planning for NASA’ s Space Station Program.
Michael Simon holds his Master of Science in Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford University, following a self-designed multidisciplinary undergraduate program combining studies of engineering, economics, and political science. |
