Michael Hubbard brings over 30 years of experience in the biomedical field prior to joining AVI in 2003 to handle investor, broker and public relations.
Although possessing degrees in English and Health, his biomedical career began in 1972 in clinical pathology and in the pioneering days of renal transplantation, principally in laboratory applications in transplant immunology.
Mr. Hubbard's business career began in 1979 as co-founder, along with Dr. Denis Burger, of Epitope, Inc., an Oregon-based medical diagnostic company. As President and CEO, he led that company from a partnership to a NASDAQ-traded public company. After leaving Epitope in 1990, he co-founded and/or assisted in the organization and financing of a number of biomedical companies, including Trinity Biotech plc, of Dublin, Ireland, today a publicly-traded (NASDAQ: TRIB) medical company with over 500 diagnostic products being sold in 80 countries.
Mr. Hubbard has served on a number of corporate and non-profit boards and has served as an officer of several companies, both public and private. |
