Mike Armstrong has served as a member of our Board of Directors since December 1, 2003. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Johns Hopkins Medicine, The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation and The Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is the retired Chairman of Comcast and the former Chairman & CEO of AT&T and Hughes Electronics. Prior to these positions he spent more than three decades with IBM. Beginning as a systems engineer, he rose through the ranks to become Chairman of the Board of the IBM World Trade Corporation.
Armstrong is the former Chairman of the President’s Export Council (President Clinton), the U.S.-Japan Business Council, and the FCC’s Network Reliability and Interoperability Council. He is a former member of the Business Council and the Business Roundtable where he served as chairman of the Homeland Security Task Force. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Armstrong serves on the board of directors of Citigroup, IHS and the Telluride Foundation. Comcast Corporation appointed him Director Emeritus. He is Chairman of SV Investment Partners and an advisor to Tudor Venture Capital. |
