Dr. Michael C. Alfano is Dean of the College of Dentistry at New York University. He has had an illustrious and multifaceted career, including academics, business, public health and private practice. Dr. Alfano has received numerous honors and awards recognizing his professional accomplishments. He received an Achievement Award at the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics and Distinguished Alumnus Awards from both the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Alfano studied biology at Rutgers University and received his D.M.D. degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. He earned his Ph.D in nutritional biochemistry and oral biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received training in Periodontics from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. |
