Michael Targoff has served as a director of Leap since its formation in September 1998. Mr. Targoff is founder and CEO of Michael B. Targoff & Co. which seeks controlling investments in telecommunications and related industry companies. From January 1996 through January 1998 he was president and chief operating officer of Loral Space and Communications Ltd. Prior to that Mr. Targoff was Senior Vice President of Loral Corporation. In addition to serving on Leap’s board Mr. Targoff was also the President and is a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Globalstar Telecommunications Limited the company that is the public owner of Globalstar Loral’s global mobile satellite system. Mr. Targoff is also a Director of Infocrossing Inc. and Viasat Inc. and is Chairman of the Boards of Director of Communications & Power Industries Inc. Before joining Loral Corporation in 1981 Mr. Targoff was a Partner in the New York law firm of Willkie Farr & Gallagher. Mr. Targoff received his Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and his Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law where he was a Hamilton Fisk Stone Scholar and Editor of the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems. |
