Michael A. Tyll is President of The Black & Decker Corporation’s Fastening and Assembly Systems business (Emhart Teknologies), a global leader in the specialty-engineered fastener and assembly systems industry. He was named to this position in April 2006, and was also elected a Group Vice President of The Black & Decker Corporation.
Mr. Tyll joined Black & Decker upon the acquisition of the Emhart Corporation in 1989. Mr. Tyll began his career with Emhart in 1980. Since that time, he has served in positions of increasing responsibility in finance, operations, and general management assignments including Vice-President of Operations North America and Vice-President and General Manager Industrial Division. He served as President of the global Industrial Division since 1998 and was named President of the global Automotive Division in 2000. He is also active on the management boards of two foreign subsidiaries.
Mr. Tyll holds a B.A. degree from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from the Ross Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Michigan. |
