Michael A. Conway is senior vice president and senior investment officer of Aon Corporation. He also serves as the Aon Pension Officer. He joined the Combined Insurance Company of America Investment Department in 1970. Combined merged with Ryan Group in 1982, creating the company that would become Aon.
In 1984, Conway left Combined to be senior vice president and chief investment officer of Union Central Life Insurance Company, Cincinnati. From 1987 to 1990, he served as president and chief executive officer of Manhattan National Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange-listed insurance holding company. In 1990, he returned to Aon Corporation as senior vice president and senior investment officer.
Conway is a chartered financial analyst and a charter member of the International Society of Financial Analysts. He is a director of the Mid-America Club and St. Joseph's Carondelet Child Center, and he is director adviser of Penske Corporation. He previously served as a director of Heller Financial Inc., St. Joseph Light and Power Company, and LaSalle Re Holdings Ltd. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois. |
