Mr. Stein was first elected as a Director of the Company in October 2004 and is currently the Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Stein is also a member of the Compensation and Human Resources and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees. Until its acquisition by Eli Lilly in January 2007, Mr. Stein served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of ICOS Corporation, a biotechnology company based in Bothell, Washington. He joined ICOS in January 2001. From October 1998 to September 2000, Mr. Stein was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Nordstrom, Inc. From 1989 to September 1998, Mr. Stein served in various capacities with Marriott International, Inc., including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1993 to 1998. Prior to joining Marriott, Mr. Stein spent 18 years at Arthur Andersen LLP, where he was a partner and served as the head of the Commercial Group within the Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Stein serves on the Board of Directors of Getty Images, Inc., a publicly held company, and the Board of Trustees of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. |
