Mr. Morton is the President of The Brigantine, Inc., a restaurant business he founded with his wife in 1969, which owns and operates the award winning Brigantine Seafood Restaurants, Miguel’s Mexican Cocinas, Zocalo Grill and Azul La Jolla. In addition to his extensive background in the restaurant business, Mr. Morton served as a Director for Peninsula Bank of San Diego and San Diego Trust and Savings Bank.
Mr. Morton is an active member of the community with current and former board affiliations such as the San Diego Restaurant Association, the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau, the San Diego Chamber of Commerce, the Executive’s Association and the San Diego U.S.O.. In addition, Mr. Morton also served as President of the San Diego Rotary Club in 1995-1996 and Commodore of the San Diego Yacht Club in 1995.
