Dr. Michael A. Kelsh is a Principal Scientist in Exponent's Health Sciences practice. He specializes in the application of epidemiology and biostatistics to occupational and environmental health issues. Dr. Kelsh has conducted epidemiologic studies of occupational injuries musculoskeletal diseases respiratory and neurological diseases and cancer incidence and mortality. Dr. Kelsh has extensive background in exposure assessment studies with emphasis on electric and magnetic fields exposures and workplace ergonomic factors.
Dr. Kelsh is an adjunct professor at the UCLA School of Public Health and teaches seminars in occupational epidemiology and exposure assessment. Prior to joining Exponent he was the Director of Occupational and Environmental Health Applications and a Senior Epidemiologist at EcoAnalysis Inc. Previously Dr. Kelsh held positions as a Research Consultant/ Epidemiologist for occupational health studies and a Project Coordinator for a community epilepsy research program. Dr. Kelsh is fluent in Spanish and has international public health experience through consulting and research projects in Latin America and as Project Director for Amigos de las Americas a private volunteer organization. |
