Mr. Clarke joined the Coca-Cola System in March 1996 as group director, Europe, for The Minute Maid Company. He became vice president, International, The Minute Maid Company, in October 1996, and senior vice president, International, The Minute Maid Company, in 1998. Mr. Clarke then moved to The Coca-Cola Company in March 2000 as president of Coca-Cola South Pacific and Korea Division.
In 2005, Mr. Clarke was appointed to the role of division president, Northwest Europe (Great Britain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Ireland). In March 2007, he was given the additional responsibility for the Nordics Region (Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Greenland).
Before joining Coca-Cola, Mr. Clarke had an extensive career with Reebok International in the areas of finance and operations in the Asia Pacific Region, then as managing director of Reebok South Africa. He took on responsibility for managing the Africa and Middle East Region, and later was appointed vice president of the South Asia/Pacific Region. Mr. Clarke began his career in accountancy with Deloitte.
He earned his Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Cape Town in his native South Africa, and has lived and worked in Asia, Europe, Latin America, Africa and the United States.
